01Carrier & Freight Quote
East Attachments selects the most cost-effective qualified carrier available for the attachment, destination and required services, and passes those freight savings to the customer. Freight is quoted using the confirmed shipment dimensions and weight, destination address, location type, access conditions and unloading needs. Transit dates are carrier estimates and may change because of weather, capacity or other conditions outside the shop’s control.
02Accurate Delivery Information
Before shipment, the customer must provide a complete deliverable address, reliable phone number, delivery-location type, receiving hours, access restrictions and any special service requirements. Residential, farm, construction-site and other limited-access locations must be identified correctly. Address corrections, reconsignment, storage, redelivery, limited-access service or other carrier charges caused by incomplete or inaccurate information may be added to the customer’s final balance.
03Unloading & Liftgate Service
The customer is responsible for arranging safe unloading at delivery. Specify during the quote request whether a loading dock, forklift, loader or other suitable equipment is available, or whether liftgate service is necessary. If liftgate service is required but was not disclosed before shipment, any additional charge for using or arranging that service may be billed to the customer. Liftgate availability is subject to the carrier’s size, weight and safety limits; oversized attachments may require customer-provided unloading equipment.
04Delivery Inspection
Inspect the attachment and packaging before the carrier leaves whenever possible. Confirm the item count and note any visible damage, missing pieces or broken packaging on the delivery receipt or bill of lading before signing. Take clear photos of the freight, packaging and affected areas. Report shipping concerns to East Attachments as soon as possible and keep the packaging and shipment available in case the carrier requests an inspection. East Attachments will assist with available carrier documentation, but claim decisions remain subject to the carrier’s rules.
05After Unloading
The customer is responsible for the attachment after it has been unloaded and accepted. The receiving area must be accessible and safe for the delivery vehicle and unloading method. If the carrier cannot complete delivery because the customer is unavailable, the site is inaccessible or unloading arrangements are inadequate, resulting redelivery, detention or storage charges may be added to the order.
06Shipment Changes
Tell East Attachments about address, contact, access or service changes before the attachment ships. Changes requested after dispatch may delay delivery and may create additional carrier charges. Tracking and delivery coordination information will be provided when available from the selected carrier.
